Then I see no reason why you shouldn't class yourself as twelve; you have, after all, lived the required year.

I don't know whether I should be proud I've been here a year or disappointed that mostly all of my friends got kicked out.

Do you want to be? I've heard that we don't age but I don't see why that should change anything.

Kind of. I mean... I'd like people to think I'm more mature than I look.

I'd never thought of it that way. It sounds like a pretty good way to think about it.

Sometimes they think that all kids act like kids.

Yeah, I'd say so. Age is about experience, not appearance. I don't really celebrate my birthday, but I still consider myself a few years older.

Most people don't realize that, though. If you look like a kid, you're treated like a kid. You should celebrate your birthday. It's... you know. Your birthday.
