[Don't look now, Amy, but there's a dragon stalking behind you. Give her a moment or two while she's feeding the ducks, and--

--he leaps over her, grabbing one of the ducks in his jaws while sending the others scattering in a panicked frenzy of quacks and feathers. Simultaneously, water splashes up from the contact with his body, likely dousing Amy in the process.

Why, yes, he does make a living out of scaring the poop out of the Paradisian residents, how did you know?]

[as probably predicted, Amy screams bloody murder, and yes, she gets soaked. Wildly, she wonders if she can even experience heart failure anymore]

[Oh, the screaming usually doesn't happen! So when it does, Toothless turns to regard her with wide, surprised eyes. Caught off guard, the duck flails wildly and manages to escape his jaws, quacking frantically as it stumbled, then flew away, leaving a bunch of feathers in its midst.

So he's going to give Amy this look. Now why'd you have to go and do all that screaming nonsense?]

[Because WTF IS THAT A DRAGON AND IT JUST CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND SOAKED HER AND TRIED TO EAT A DUCK? Although, that's a weirdly sentient look she's being given. Amy pauses mid-cringe away]

[ If Amy half turns she'd realize that Nill is sitting a bit off with her arms wrapped around her knees and staring with utter fascination. She's never seen ducks before coming here. But she also realizes that Amy might want space and is giving her that. ]

[when the sensation of eyes boring in her general direction becomes too much to ignore, Amy looks over and--ducks aren't THAT interesting. Are they?]

[ The sky is interesting for a girl with small wings who lived underground her whole life. But when Amy greets her, Nill gets up and moves over to sit next to her. She holds out her hand for a fistbump with a smile. She was told it was the most awesome greeting ever and has decided to adopt it as such. ]

[if those wings are visible, then they're going to get an openly curious glance from Amy before she regards the proffered fist. She's fairly sure it's meant to be a fistbump, so she does so, a little tentatively]

[Cue River Song appearing. Where does one go to find a Pond? The duck pond, obviously. Yeah, you've been sulking too long, mommy dearest]

[I blame LJ, personally] [Amy had heard her approaching but hadn't bothered to look and see who it was, so she's mildly surprised to find that it's River, and it shows]

[She settles in beside Amy, getting comfortable before speaking]

I know Rory told you some things about where he's been and what happened. It can't be easy, knowing what's ahead.

[Was taking a nice leisurely stroll when he spots Amy. He goes to saunter over with a grin... when he remembers that he's not really on her good side right now. He hesitates, watching her for a moment]

[for once, Amy's Doctor radar doesn't ping; she's in the middle of teasing off another piece of bread to chuck out at a small group of ducks in the lake, who by now are starting to expect them]

[Well... he's got to talk to her eventually, hasn't he? He slowly steps forward, waiting for her to notice him.]

[when movement registers in her peripheral vision, Amy glances that way and--oh. Just who she really doesn't want to see right now. Not when she hasn't finished working through how she feels about the knowledge that he's indirectly responsible for her and Rory losing their daughter. But she has to say something, so...]
