Legato can keep a tight leash on her; if she bites out her tongue or swallows it and kills herself, that's two weeks where anything could happen to her Pokémon and she would have no way of helping them.
She does get up when she hears footsteps and comes towards the door, pausing to listen by it intently to see if she can tell who it is. Anxious to know, even if it means nothing. A floorboard might creak... the whisper of a footstep... whatever there is to be heard...]

he shouldn't let anything distract him right now, but he's too curious not to check, so he walks back over and reaches out to open the door, sword ready just in case ]

Those at the castle are already on full alert, and preparing an assault against Riful. But they've done it before, and it got them nowhere. For them to fight her with the other two will be a waste of time, and something they'll probably be expecting.
I made sure that Legato can't sense me. The only way to do this is to catch them off guard, and get Riful out of here before Arthas and Legato can react. She might believe I'd come to talk to her, but none of them would expect me to attack her.
[ quietly opens the door and...walks out. whatever she does is her call, but woman if you give away his presence he's going to have to punch you, and he really doesn't want to punch a girl :c ]
[She tries to grab him and drag him back, raging in an agitated hiss.] Are you fucking stupid?! Give me the journal, I have to let people know I'm here!
Still annoying though, and she sighs. ]
