It does seem that the castle enjoys fostering strife. Perhaps it knows that it feed from its captors emotions by causing stress. At least, that's what it seems like. What a dull mystery.

This place would do to have trickier puzzles.

Has anyone found any mysteries as of late? I need something to crack open.

You have given an answer for but one verse of the riddle; I would know "how" as soon as I would know "why." Indeed, methods may be of more use than motivation in this instance.
