[It should not surprise anyone who knows her that Galadriel has been spending an increasing amount of time at her Mirror as it becomes more and more apparent that hostilities are inevitable. She’s there again tonight, going through the familiar motions- pouring the water into the basin, breathing on it, waiting for the reflection of the stars to go

But I didn't know he was allied with Riful.

Thanks. I've got a feeling this is going to get worse before it gets better, so anything we know ahead of time can help.

You need not thank me; it would be heartless indeed to have seen what I have and said nothing.

I hate to say it, but there are people here who would do just that.
It's hard to know for sure what they're planning or when they'll strike, but my friends and I aren't going to take this sitting down. It's about time we became proactive instead of reactive.

I hope you know you may count on my continued assistance, in whatever form it may prove necessary.

The amount of evidence of their rising activity people are finding is starting to weigh heavily on me. If this is all true, and I've little reason to doubt it isn't, then I...we need to set everything in motion.

In truth, I have no way of knowing the length of time that has passed since these occurrences. However, my Mirror revealed them unbidden and such things are seldom shown to me without cause. Yes, I think it bodes ill.

In that case, it most definitely does. Thank you for sharing this with us, and I promise to help share as much information I can that I come across. This is not the first time anyone's been chastised lately for being secretive, and I agree now is not the time for it.
It's going to be war. I can smell it.

You need not thank me; to have done otherwise would have been to neglect my duties. I have little doubt you feel the same.
As can I. [Quite literally. It smells like blood. :( She gives a thoughtful hum.] How does one fight a war where death is impermanent, I wonder? I suppose we shall see.

The blue-haired chap is a man by the name of Legato Bluesummers. I've...had a conversation with him, seen his mind. I'd hoped to help him, but it seems he's beyond the help of anyone.
His powers are much like mine, but much more limited in scope. He can control a person's physical body, even force them to speak for him, but no more. My telepathy is of a sort I believe he may be vulnerable to.

I have spoken to him as well, though I have thus far avoided any overt uses of my power. [And then a curious glance] You may also exercise such control? It is outside of my abilities.
Reply
Yes, I can. My ability...it can be a terrifying thing. Not only can I speak to a person's mind, as you know, but I can access or erase their memories, their thoughts, and control their bodies. I don't like to talk of the full extent of my abilities if I can help it, as most would be frightened that I might take advantage of them with what I can do.
It's not my intent to harm anyone, or control them against their will. I reserve the use of my ability for crises such as what we're facing now.

But you have learned more of Legato than I and I would hear of it, if you would tell me.

You are most welcome. May I request, however, that you expand upon what exactly it is that you should have known?

I've met the guy you've described. Once or twice. I should have guessed he was on the wrong side of things.
[Sigh, and he looked to be so much FUN too. No nookie for her :(]

[It is enough for her, usually, but hey.]
