[ There is a tiny black and white kitty in the lobby. It has a very familiar pair of glasses and bright green eyes. Poor thing looks pretty scared.

So scared, in fact, that she is trying to hide underneath things. ]

[Hey, John? Frightened kitties with claws don't like tails pulled. It... well, surprises them. And you know what happens when cats get surprised?

HISSSSSSSSSSSS as she whirls around and there go the claws, batting right at the offending hand.

she will dart around nervously trying to avoid the sudden pretty pony and then dive underneath the nearest chair.

[Oh thank goodness, she didn't step on the cat. But it's acting a bit odd for a cat. Celestia leans down and nudges the tail with her muzzle.]

her tail is all poofed out and fluffy. it twitches when she noses it and she mews pathetically.

[Well, hello there, kitty cat~ Alleyne crouches down and looks at you with a soft lineface; as close as she'll get to a smile for now. Gee, those glasses sure are familiar! If you give her a bit I bet she'll recognize you. But for now, she extends one of her gloved hands; if you sniff her she'll smell like training sweat and the wood off of her weapon.]

Have a scritching on the head and ears, followed by picking a small bit of deer jerky out of her pouch, offering it.]

Castle get to you, Jade? It seems to have a penchant for animals, lately.

[ Neku was going to go out before he saw the cat. With glasses. Still a cat though! So he walks over and crouches down with a small smile. ]

Hello. Didn't know we had cats here, though I suppose I'm not surprised. Do you belong to anyone...?

[ And yeah, he's talking to a cat. Quietly, mind you. After all, it's not like they can talk back so he doesn't want anyone else to hear. ]

she pokes her head out slowly from where she is hiding underneath a chair. her ears and drooped in fear. she mews pitifully. well, she has no collar to speak of, if that's any clue for him.

eventually she crawls toward him on her belly to sniff his shoe. plz save me. 8(]

[ Only nice to animals. Especially cats. And oh man, he is kind of taking a liking to this cat! She's just so small and cute. He reaches his fingers out to softly scratch the top of her head. ]

Doesn't look like you do have an owner. Huh. This isn't exactly the safest place for someone as small as you to be wandering around...

[she jerks back a little because it startles her! but then... then she likes it. she butts her head against his fingers and purrs. she feels safer now.

she meows. she knows!! she nearly got stepped on and someone even pulled her tail! it's hard being a cat. it's hard and no one understands.]

[and then there's a bunch of high pitched yipping and the scrabble of nails on the floor, as a husky puppy makes a beeline for you.]

...Hey! Blitz, get back here!

Jade puffs up about ten times her normal size and bolts the fuck out of there and under a couch. hissing.]

[the (growing) puppy is trying to squeeze himself underneath the couch, haunches in the air, tail furiously wagging. Half a second later, the sound of running footsteps finally disappear and the puppy is finally lifted away.]

What have you got there, boy?

[then, there's a curious teenager peering under the couch]

[the curious teenager will see the biggest poofed out kitten pressed as far back into the corner as she can. her bright green eyes are as big as saucers.
