[Even though this isn't Konoha, Hinata still does her best to keep somewhat the same schedule as she did there. As it is, she's leaving the kitchen with an apple as she gets ready to head out into town for some random window-browsing and candy shopping.

However she isn't expecting to see Sasuke nearby. In fact, it could probably be said she does her best to avoid seeing him, especially since Naruto's been gone. She looks from him to the lobby, worrying her bottom lip. Maybe she could get out of this without being spotted...]

[Sasuke does actually see her when he's walking right in that direction and uncharacteristically glances towards her instead of similarly avoiding her]

Hinata?

[So preoccupied was she with sneaking back into the kitchen that she actually starts when she hears her name.

Then she pauses and tries to get her thoughts back in order. Because she can't just ignore him. That would be rude, even if he might deserve rudeness.

It is with a deep that she turns around to face him.]

Sasuke-san... Um, how have you been?

As well as I can be, I suppose.

How about you? [...Well that was different from his usual replies. More so that he even asked how she was]

[She was so prepared for some sort of scathing reply that...his actual reply catches her off-guard. Excuse her while she stares in shock, maybe looking down at the apple she took a bite of. Maybe it was poisoned...or something.]

Um, I-I...I've been much the same.

[Looking back at him and maybe stepping closer.] Are you...really sure you are all right?

[meanwhile sasuke finds nothing wrong with this at in the least, he just looks at her, a bit of surprise showing on his face at her question as she approaches closer]

I'm sure. Why?

[Sasuke...showing surprise? OK, she doesn't know him all that well, but even she knows this...isn't right. She's tempted to use her byakugan just to confirm that this is really Sasuke.]

It's just... You're actually...talking. It's...different. [And weird. Very weird.]

I am? I don't feel any different.

[sunnyheiress]

[There it is again--the being nice thing. It's really starting to set her on edge, and she even looks him over.

But he certainly does look like Sasuke...and sound like him, too. Loss, perhaps... If it is, she's...not going to be the one to mention it.]

Oh, then...then I guess it's just me...being silly. [Nervous laugh.] Um, so... Did you just finish training?

[Yeah, she guessed it. A loss, and it's something Sasuke it completely unaware of despite how obvious it would be to those who know him]

Yeah, I did-- for today, at least.

[On one hand, she's really interested in seeing what kind of insight she can gain on him for any hypothetical and possible future dealings. On the other, she's worried about what may happen when he's back to normal.

She steps to the side.]

I'm sorry, then...if I'm keeping you from relaxing after it.

You aren't keeping me from anything.

[...Well, there went her out. And she doesn't really have anything pressing to do either. Aside from getting more sweets and candy which, admittedly, she probably doesn't need more of.]

Um, all right then... [Shuffling from foot-to-foot because she really sucks at this small talk thing.]

...Have you seen Sakura or Ino recently?

Those two? No, not recently. [the last time he saw them both was when that whole thing with pirates was happening]

Hmm, I...haven't really either. Not really since we were...pirates. It's so easy to fall out of touch here with others.

[And there kind of goes her idea to ask them if you hit your head and woke up nicer, or something similar.]

Yeah, same here. I guess with how big this place is, it's bound to happen.
