[Booth wasn't supposed to be doing patrols on his own and, mostly, he didn't mind. Mal was certainly fun company as far as impromptu partners went. But he didn't really see the point of sitting around uselessly when he was more than capable of handling himself...which is why he could be found taking a lazy walk around the perimeter of the castle grounds that most certainly had nothing to do with keeping an eye out for trouble and probably was just him taking in the scenery.
Right.
He's more than a little relieved to have something actually happen, even if it's just seeing Allen stagger out of the woods]
....Geez kid. You end up in a fight with a weedwacker or something?
[Sitting in the branches of a lone tree away from the woods is one Miria. The patrolling resident doesn't concern her too much, so she takes care to go unnoticed up until she sees Allen trudging towards her general vicinity. With a raised brow, she'll silently "appear" beside Booth and look Allen over.]
While I'm not sure what a weed whacker is, you do look worse for wear.
[He'll blink when he sees those two...he hasn't realized that he had gotten close enough to the grounds to encounter people- mostly because he was busy complaining in his head. He'll shift nervously]
Ah- no, I haven't fought! I was just...looking for something.
[Booth can't help but jump when Miria glides into sight. He's trained to be observant...but he'd missed her being so close. His lips press together in a thin line, but he focuses back on Allen]
....And the search involved...what exactly? Honestly, my eight year old has played in the mud and come out cleaner than you.
