One, two, and, ah, four. I'm not hard up for money, you see, but I could use a hobby.

Have you ever been to the art gallery in the city?

[is behind the bar, doing her job -- you know, normal things. Because she's feeling normal again -- or at least her version of normal]

I still think we should hold auditions for the chef gig.

I've been thinking about that suggestion, actually.

I mean, it might not be a bad thing.

How else are we gonna know we've got the best person for the job if we don't try the food?

I've watched those cooking shows and sometimes you don't want to try the food.

Temporary substitute cook, at your service, but ... completely at a loss on the grill thing. That was my dad's department.

You are going to be a life-saver, Claire.

The grilling I can actually handle, so we'll be set for today.

I don't know if I'd go as far as life-saving ... But, I'm glad to help.

I might take some time to lurk over your shoulder and learn if we're not too busy.

There was a guy, Jamie, he could've helped out a lot - but I checked the floor map and he's not here anymore. So my idea of putting a multiplying man in the kitchen went out the window.

I'm glad the Lux is back up and running.

I think I needed the break, though, but I'm glad it's back too.

[and then the sad part] Yeah, I was handling things while the Lux was closed, but I don't want to put the burden on the townspeople. It's good for a temporary fix, but I'm trying to find someone new.

It's alright. Just another bump in the road. I'll sort things and if nothing else I'll just check back at the gallery a few times through the day. Just until things smooth over.

What about you? Anything new going on?

Seeing as I'm living in the city now and I've got nothing better to do... I think I pretty much fit the bill.

What kinda work are we talking about?

[she smiles] See, I was thinking about you, but I didn't want to ask since I wasn't sure if the whole working in the gallery thing was what you really wanted to do when it came to art.

[laughs.] You couldn't have been more obvious if you were holding a sign.

It's not really... but I figure that the least I could do is help out, you know? And if I make a little money in the process, why the hell not.

Besides, it's not like someone's telling me what art I can and can't make, right? I can still do my own thing in my own time.

Well, I wasn't trying to be that obvious, but you did come to mind and the idea of the gallery here in Paradisa is that residents can display whatever they want for as long as they want.

I'm glad you're interested though.

Actually, I had someone else ask about it. His name's Joshua. I figure you both might be able to work through the week. So that you don't have to make all of your time the gallery.
