[Spending eleven days sunbathing and trying to steal drinks was definitely exhausting, and since Alex isn't exactly a people-person, she's been craving some alone time. So from the time they arrived back at the castle, she's has been basically avoiding all sorts of human - or otherwise - contact, in favor of reading all of the magazines she can get

[ a large brown feather flutters down to where alex lies ]

[She picks up the feather... looks at it for a second... then drops it and goes back to sunbathing.]

[percepts]

[ a few minutes later, a couple more come wafting down ]

[One lands square on Alex's face, and she lowers her sunglasses to look at it. She figures it must just belong to a really big bird.]

If you drop bird crap on me, someone's getting barbequed.

I think we all managed to make it back.

Cool. Heard it was a pretty bleak time for the people on the creaky boats.

[Meaning the galleons.]

It had its moments. The castle did this, it's not exactly going to be the safest trip.
