PARTY HARDY tidalsurge June 28 2011, 18:26:04 UTC
[ While the rest of the island is partying hard for your sake, you get to wind down a bit from all the noise and chaos with a crew party. Chill out with your crewmates, drink around the fire, or get up and find something to do! ]

[ The place where the party is at is near a beach playground. Feel free to take over the swings, slides, or get a game of volley ball going as the sun slowly sets. ]

[ Eva just grins and takes another cupcake for herself. SHE LIKES SWEETS OKAY? THAT DOESN'T MAKE HER A KID SHEESH.

Sheesh count: 208. ]

[That...is pretty much what Galadriel has been doing this whole world change. It's the whole drawn-to-the-sea thing. So she is sitting nearby also watching the waves.

Have a smile and a little nod from the strangely peaceful elf.]

[ *A* ahhh, mama's happy to see you--especially after how concerned she sounded after their last conversation with one another. She'll nod back faintly and allow her expression to brighten some ]

Well-met.

Well met. You seem in good spirits. [And that's reassuring.]

I am. Much more so than in the recent past.

And I am most glad to see it. [Another glance at the ocean.] It has been long since I have seen the sea.

Is it a rare sight in your world?

No, not precisely. You might say I have avoided it.

[There's a slight pause, but she's comfortable being honest with you.]

My people are drawn to the Sea, for it speaks to us of Valinor, the Undying Lands, where the old and weary of us return to seek the comfort of a land as unfading as we. I am both old and weary, but my part is not yet done. Were I to gaze upon the Sea in my own world, I do not believe I could again be content upon the shores of Middle-Earth.

[And considering that she's still not 100% sure that the ban on her entering the Undying Lands has been lifted, that would not be good at all.]

It is an interesting concept to hear of... There is no such place for mortals in my world. Perhaps the closest would be the elves of my world...until late.

No mortal has set foot in the Undying Lands yet, save one. Just as it wears on the heart to watch all about you fade as you yourself stand still, it would be trying to age as mortals do while all else remains unchanged.

[That last bit isn't ominous at all...] Would you tell me of it, my lady?

The similarities you spoke of with the elves of your world.

Ah.

They were once immortal as those within your world. It was a blessing granted to them by my brother, the Timeless One. But in recent years this immortality was lost and they now succumb to age as any other.

[And she's quiet for a bit. This has been on her mind for a while; it is any time she thinks of going into the West, actually.]

In my world there are a few who are granted a choice- the line of the Half-Elven.
