On the Ship tidalsurge June 27 2011, 18:48:06 UTC
[ What's the matter? Didn't take Remilia Scarlet up on her offer? Don't like parades? Or maybe you're just tired, sick, busy making plans... whatever the reason for being a loser, the ship is still here if you need it. You've been here long enough that the Navy are now keeping their eyes on you, and they don't try to hide it, but so far they're content to simply watch... ]

[ as previously mentioned, masquerades make him uncomfortable and hit a little too close to home. he's back on the ship now, but he's on the deck watching the big party from a distance and looking rather melancholy. feel free to pass him on your way in or out of the party. ]

[This guy knows all about melancholy, buddy.]

Why don't you go? The ship will be safe.

The Parade! tidalsurge June 27 2011, 18:49:27 UTC
[ All throughout Purgatorio, a great parade on bright, colorful boats slowly float through out town. Naturally, the vendors are still selling masks for people to wear, as well as snacks and souvenirs. Special areas are cordoned off for people to dance, sing, and play music, but the upper-class seems to be sticking indoors in their own private parties or simply watching from their own designated areas, complete with Navy escort should any of the pitiful types want to get near. ]

[ But there's much more fun to be had in the streets anyway! ]

[ How long has it since you've had a decent meal? Well, you guys should have money now.. So why not splurge a bit on drinks and great food? It's delicious, lemme tell ya'. The view is also great! Depending on where you go. ]

[ Just don't spill any drink on your mask or drop that piece of fsteak on the nicest pair of clothes you've possibly worn all week. Hang and dine with friends or totally score a date. Oh, and the place is famous for their drink and wine. If you hit up someone in a mask, they'll most likely give you their bottle for free. So please drink responsibly and don't catch mono or something. ]

[Here you have one (1) Navy Admiral Stocking Anarchy, rocking a simple white dress and black & silver feathered mask on her face. Instead of her usual stockings on her legs, she has slid a short pair of striped stockings onto her arms instead, to add some spice to the outfit.

Stocking is in front of a food counter trying out all types of various desserts. Maybe if you're nice and don't annoy her too much, or at all, she might be nice and let you have one on the house.]

[Fitting in? Not something that Molotov has a problem with. This is because she is an incredibly accomplished thief/con artist. Anyway, after escaping the brig of the ship, Molotov knew what she needed to do to pay all those fuckers back.

She needed to find this Navy that everyone was panicking over and tell them fucking everything. MOLOTOV RUINS EVERYTHING, QUEEN BITCH, ETC ETC.

The only problem was that she didn't know who she needed to be looking for. So, now, she is casually wandering through the celebrations, avoiding anyone even remotely familiar, looking for someone suitably official-looking. That's who she should tell, right? No one here seems to look terribly military, though, so she's only marginally confused.

This food counter is a welcome distraction though, and Molotov sidles up to it, signaling for a petit four.]

SPEECH TIME fired_once June 27 2011, 22:54:54 UTC
[ The parade and festivities move along through the city, eventually coming to an end in a large square near sunset. The festivities will continue on into the night, but for this moment, all attention in the city is focused to this particular place. ]

[ Set up in the center of this area is a stage. And a face, one who might be familiar to some of you, makes his way up on it. He's dressed in an impeccable suit, and removes an iron mask as he makes his way up onto the stage. Tony Stark. Iron Man. Fleet Admiral. ]

[ Huge jets of sparks fly into the air as he arrives at the center of the stage. Pyrotechnics, probably set up by the man himself. This is all met by loud applause from the gathered crowds, if not your crew. He sets down the mask on the podium up on stage, sets down the briefcase he was carrying next to it, and checks to make sure the mic on stage is working. Tap tap. ]

Good evening, Purgatorio. [ He scans the crowd, giving a smile. ] To all of its wonderful residents, I sincerely hope you've enjoyed this year's festival. ( ... )

[Spike lifted the mask off long enough to watch the speech. There's something vaguely familiar about this... but he doesn't dwell on it long enough to figure it out. He's just happy to have a name and a face to remember.]

So that's what he looks like. [Talking to himself, apparently, from a distance away from the teeming crowd. He doesn't look particularly offended; if anything, a little excited. It's a good set up.

He just has to figure out his angle.]

[It's a good thing his mask covers most of his face to hide his surprise. Mr. Stark is the bastard that has been causing them nothing but problems?! ]

[This was...a problematic development. ]

Is that ... who I think it is? [Coming up to stand next to Allen. It took her a bit, but she figured out how to move about in her giant costumed dress. She's watching Stark with narrowed eyes behind her mask.]
