Swell Boat Shop tidalsurge June 25 2011, 18:02:14 UTC
[ Right there on the docks, there's the answer to your boating woes. It's a nice place, very homey, and employees bounce around here and there helping customers that need assistance. There's plenty of boats to go around, both for sale and for rent, of various makes and models, with the larger and more luxurious going for the highest price, naturally. ]

[ There's a small commotion going on over at the front desk, it seems like, and a pair of people who may be familiar seem to having a loud discussion with a third party... better go listen in, but be discrete! ]

[Not that she'd be able to effectively row one-armed like she is, but she had gone in to check pricings as an idea to split with others. The scuffle, however, immediately piques her curiosity, and she suddenly realizes it's a little easier to be discreet when she's not towering over everything.]

[She's free to be discreet as much as she wants, but this is a boat shop and sooner or later, the shop worker's gonna expect her to want a boat!]

Looking for anything specific?

[Way to ruin her fun, killjoy. She stares at him blankly for a moment, and then spits out a rapid-fire list of specifications, hoping to keep him busy for a moment, while trying to surreptitiously keep an eye on the more interesting encounter going on. ]

... with seating for six, including a parrot.

Oh, and it needs o be blue. Light blue.

Ooookay then. [He's just gonna lean over toward the window and peer out toward the docks.] Well, I can safely say each boat's going to have seating for a parrot. Will cerulean do?

[Kat tries to steal a glance at the Navy men - one of which looks suspiciously like Zoro - while the boat worker's looking out tye window, before turnig her parial attention back to beong the Worst Customer Ever, just buying a little time.]

[Surprisingly? He's had worse.]

If you want, I can go buy some light blue paint and slap a coat onto one of the boats.

Hmph. I could probably do that myself. Let me think about it. [And in the meantime mill about 'in thought' while she continues to spy on the Navy, hopefully]

If you need anything, just holler. [He'll go back to tending to those fussy bros of his and let her spy all she wants.]

Oi oi oi!!

[One of the men involved in the scuffle, a tall, lanky fellow with straw hair and a white overcoat of a Navy admiral, is yelling at the man behind the desk.]

We're in a hurry, here, let's just get goin' already!

We got pirates to process, and I've already got plans tonight, so let's get a move on.

[ignoring grass brains. this is more important.]
