he's been holding out hope he'd come back to Cain in his room in the Satis Tower every day since his twin had left. he hadn't returned. there had been no messages for him in the journal.
Abel didn't even know where he had gone.
to know he was leaving on a trip beyond the Dead Zone - especially considering how dangerous the previous excursions had been - has his whole chest tight. he wants to go with him. he wants to tell him not to go - please, don't go that far away where, even with his abilities, he wouldn't be able to follow if something were to happen...
but he says... nothing. he doesn't beg as badly as he wants to. he knows his brother wouldn't have made the choice lightly... if he was prepared to face the potential dangers... maybe that was simply a sign of how deep these wounds gouged and he should keep his distance. respect that choice.
