He sees Shiki, and starts grinning even wider than before. Yep, this kid's over his little bought of depression.]

Shiki, meanwhile, looks up at him and smiles.]

Oh, hello Hunny! I'm just trying to design clothes, but they're just not coming out... right.

[He comes to a stop, and squats down on the floor to be at eye level with her.]

Wait, r-really? Your friends' mom does it? Like, for a living?? No way! That's so cool! Who is your friends' mother? Like, would I have heard of her??

((ooc: So... just so we're sure, she wouldn't have heard of Hikaru and Kaoru's mother, right? I mean, I'm just thinking... they're both from a version of Japan on a version of Earth, and if their universes were going to be one and the same, then Shiki would have heard of her. We could play it that way... but do you want to do that, or just have them be in entirely seperate worlds so the Hitachiin family just... doesn't really exist in Shiki's Japan?))

[O HAI THAR! Shiki sees Maya and grins, clearing a little bit of space for her to sit down next to Shiki, if she chooses.]

I'm trying to design some clothing for fun, but... I dunno, the idea I'm going for just isn't coming out, you know?

[well having the space cleaned out, it would be rude of her not to!]

You want to show me what you have so far?

[Shiki tilts the pad, so Maya can see Shiki's latest attempt at designing a mini-dress. It's strapless and it goes down to about halfway down the figurine's thigh, with a thin belt around the waist and flowers, clustered closely together around the waist but thinning out as they go up/down from there. The background is green, while the flowers have pink centers and white petals... but they're all relatively small.]

It's alright, but... I mean, I'm trying to do something that's cute and sexy and flirty and cheerful and happy and kind of jittery-nervous and sweet all at the same time, and I just don't think that it's really coming across... does that make any sense?

[Despite her slight frustration with her designs, Shiki's really not at all angry or anything, and she smiles at hearing him greet her.]

Oh, hey! What's up?

I'm just trying to design some clothing... its been a while since I really designed anything new, you know?

[The pile of drawings is already hard to miss without the, it being his matesprit in the middle of the paper maelstrom. He pauses for a moment, unsure if he should really speak to her. Is it customary to speak again so soon after finalizing a red quadrant? Or would it make sense to leave some time inbetween said event? Surely it would be easier for both side to 'cool down'. But, that's not exactly what he wants to do. Not that he's this happy to see a human!? Dear no, that's silly.]

[Equius frowns a little and wanders over to her, an eyebrow cocked as he steps near, fairly unsure of himself.]

Um... is it normal for humans to ...go on small artistic rampages? Not that I am complaining...

[How could he complain about that? With his love of the fine arts after all.]

[Shiki reacts momentarily to Equius suddenly just being there (she hadn't seen him walk over), but then she smiles and begins to clear some papers away from the space next to her, clearing room for him if he should want it.]

I... occasionally, for some humans, I think? I mean, I don't think every human does it, like, all the time, but... I just wanted to do something creative, you know?

Um, d-do you want to sit down?

[She may or may not still have that nervous, jittery feeling about him being there... by which I mean, she does. That obviously does not mean she doesn't want him there.]

The amount of awkward I have to shove into these is starting to kill me. XD

[Would sitting be too formal? Yes? No? Well, He normally would stand if this were any other situation, but, she asked him and the polite thing to do would be to infact, sit. So... okay then.]

[Reluctantly he takes a seat near her, his eyes lingering over her drawings, hands in his pockets, balled into fists.]

I did not know you are artistically inclined. Fashion? You should really speak to Kanaya, she tends to find fashion much more interesting then the majority of troll kind.

...Do you make clothing as well?

Aw, but you can NEVER have too much awkward!
