[Cross may have only dealt with that darkness-enfused individual for no more than five minutes, tops, but clearly Alexstrasza had spent much more time with him. Whatever ability the opponent had, it was powerful enough to overwhelm the lieutenant in more than just a physical way.
After he delivered her quite a number of terrans, he went to go get some for himself, not staying out for too long. Ugh, do not want to run into that guy again thank you very much!
More than happily satiated now, the redhead moves over to her and takes a seat by her.] Alexstrasza.
Thank you, Lieutenant. [He pays her another short bow of his head, and does not concern himself with the transfer of energy. It was not as if they were low on terrans to feed, luckily.
The fingertips tracing over his palm remind him of something, but it is such a vague and distant memory, one from so long ago, that he pushes the thought back easily. No need to dwell on the past.]
See that you continue as such. [ She relaxes back against the wall again, the temporary relief of lucidness enough to spare her mind. These Terrans... They would pay for what the had done. Even if she had to slay every last one herself she would see them suffer a thousandfold for such a transgression against her. ]
If you meet any like him again...do not let his hand touch you.
I shall. [He leans his head back against the wall, closing his eyes as he lets out a soft sigh. Mm yeah, maybe he would play with some Terrans while he fed off of some others - he suddenly felt the need to continue taking over the town, unsettling the residents of the castle that sat not too far away.
Soon enough, that castle would be theirs, and its residents would either succumb to their will, or they would be bled dry.]
[ It's relieving to hear that--he's obedient, behaved...not like the others. As dedicated to their cause as she. But without perhaps the same instincts she possesses; the very same one which lead her to finally cease feeding upon him and simply leave her fingertips against his....simply because she can. To have the connection she knows she cannot have with the man in power she would otherwise have chosen.
Just as she is a predator to Terrans he is a predator to their kind. ]
[He is as behaved as he can be, especially right now. It is almost surprising to him how, normally, he would have checked on her and then moved on, but he sat here for who-knows-how-long and allowed her to feed off of his energy. He fretted over her and made sure she would recover.
He opens his eyes as she finally stops her feeding, not minding her lingering touch. As determined and mission-pushing she could be, there were times where her mere presence relaxed him.]
