He hasn't discovered his loss yet, but Chuck just being here is good enough for now. He'll see that sad look on your face, and slide you a slice of a finished pie he made a little while ago. Uhh...hey there, kiddo. Everything all right?

[He perks up a little at the pie, but that frown doesn't turn upside down.]

[Ned's never really been good with kids, but there's obviously something bothering this one, so he presses on.]

True, but you're not exactly an adult now, are you?

[Now he's gonna help himself to a piece of pie. He hasn't been brave enough yet to try rotten ingredients, so he can actually eat his own pies for once.]
