And apparently one that wouldn't be upset to see bad things happen to us. My source indicated that they had talked to other people in the castle, who'd been pretty rude or something. They were very cagey with details, since apparently they were doing it behind the backs of the ohers.

And no one's said anything about some kind of attempted attack?

While I highly doubt I would have any need to worry about such a creature, the thought of someone potentially attacking Castle residents simply to gain access to these items... it is rather worrying.

But I am in possession of two of the items as of this moment.

Did this source of yours give you anymore detail on the creature, other than the fact that it seems to be seeking out items from the room within Insolitus?

That was it. And that it was incredibly powerful, from what they could tell, but it's not like they tried fighting it themselves, so that could just be a visual assessment.

If they've been able to monitor from outside our "Live Zone," did they manage to tell you anything about how long they might have noticed someone from within "experimenting" on the boundaries, and our own apparent reactions?

They called it 'the beast that covets' and apparently they saw it, but it wasn't them it was after. That's all I could get out of them.

They monitor from somewhere in the Live Zone, I think is what they meant. Just not in the castle. They live somewhere between here and the Dead Zone.

And the only thing they brought up was the disappearances - nothing before that.

Right, so they're within the radius of Live Magic. Possibly starting to experiment only recently, with what sent us out into the Deadzone with our journals sometimes tagging along.

I guess not. They were pretty worried, I think, that their friends would find out they were saying anything to me about it.

Yep. And them not identifying with the outsiders seems to imply they were once residents. Maybe their names are still on a door somewhere.
