[His head still swimming with wonderful images of Haruhi needing to confess her love-love for him, he was smiling as he headed down the hall to her room, dictating as he went.]
Haruhi? You need wait no longer, Daddy is on his way~♥
[He ups his speed significantly, skidding into Haruhi's room and completely ignoring Casanova. He has eyes only for Haruhi, his own big and filled with worry over her being alone (Bossonova didn't count) during a storm.
Dropping to his knees in the corner, he laid a hand on her head and looked into her face with a small smile, voice gentle.]
[And the floodgates open. She sobs again against her own knees as Tamaki steps in, swallowing the rest of them. Haruhi is still terrified, but there is open, earnest relief in her voice, too.]
Senpai. I'm sorry, if you were busy..
[And slowly, she releases Kasanoda's sleeve, turning her face to look at him gratefully. She mouths a soft 'thank you.']
[Unfortunately for poor Bossonova, Tamaki doesn't even notice him get up to leave. His whole attention is on Haruhi and her tears, which make his chest pang in ways he can't explain.
It must be the love of a father for his daughter, strong and real and all consuming.
Shifting to kneel properly in front of her, his hands covered her ears firmly to block out the noise.]
[She swallows thickly again, eyes following Kasanoda as he goes, confused -
At least until the lightning strikes again, bright enough to see the flash through the curtains. Haruhi pitches forward slightly, clapping her hands over Tamaki's and squeezing her eyes shut tight.]
[Whipping his jacket off, he fashioned it into a strange turban type garment to cover both her ears and eyes, tying it off tenderly before pulling her into a hug.]
You don't have to go through this alone, never say sorry.
[She pitches forward to return the hug, shuddering once as she finally, finally starts to relax. She doesn't mean to keep talking; this isn't something she wants to bring up, to admit to him. To any of them.
She doesn't like being vulnerable.]
If you leave, if Kasanoda and Hunny and Kyouya go, too-- if I can't do this on my own..
[And, somewhat uncharacteristically, Haruhi returns the hug and exhales a shuddering sigh.]
I know, senpai.
[She sniffles against his neck, swallowing the impulse to let herself weep there. She'll have to thank the both of them later, when the storm is over and she's got ahold of herself again.]

... I'll...
[nope, he can't even form a sentence. He just swallows, hard, and stands up. Not another word, not another look, he just heads for the door.
They don't need him anymore.]
