[ THE DINER ]
[ while in the diner, tomoe will be spending the day doing various things. one of the most prominent things will probably be tying her sleeves back and cooking for anyone who needs it. of course her style is distinctly japanese, and making do with what an 80's style diner kitchen has on hand might lead to some interesting results

I didn't notice there was rice.

I have not been able to find any. I did find some noodles, however I can't identify which type they are.

[ What the hell is any of this. Seriously. At least the 80s were fairly tolerant of semi-formalwear, even if it is... kind of stupidly bulky. Oh well.
When Vicious spots Tomoe holed up, he approaches, quiet as always, and sits down across from her. Hi there. ]

she'll turn her gaze away from the window to observe him. it's possible if he says anything about her outfit, she's liable to stab him with the fork on that there napkin. just sayin' ]
You look well.
[ it's a lie, but hey they're in public, where manners exist. she's wondering when he last got any sleep, judging by his eyes... ]

[ Well, he's certainly looked worse. He looks tired, even for him, but it's not a wrecked tired like when she last saw him. He's been keeping to himself and resting up, stubbornly dealing with the fraying edges of his mental health in total isolation. Because that's healthy. ]
You're very kind. [ Is that some wry amusement? Perhaps. His sense of humor has always been colored a darker shade. ]

You seem to be rather popular.

...I would say it was tolerable. I am unfamiliar with the ingredients offered here, so I doubt it was...'yummy', really.

[But he knows you well enough (or at least is pretty damn sure he remembers well enough) to know that you can't possibly be comfortable with your legs hanging out for all the world to see... and so after a little while of steeling himself he pulls himself out of his own corner and approaches, not quite looking up as he does so while shrugging out of the ridiculous leather coat he found himself in (and dear gooood, no seriously what in the hell is this clothing anyway!?!?! e__e well... at least it's not... sequined or something, right?).]
Tomoe...
[He stopped next to her table, holding out the coat without any express explanation.]

unsure, but grateful, she accepts the coat to drape over her lap and at least partially cover up her legs. then she'll look back. maybe it would be better to say nothing and let him be on his way, but... ]
Thank you.
You look ridiculous.

[And then his face falls just a bit at her statement.]
A-aa... he is... aware... [he'll just... kind of... pull at a pant leg briefly in reaction to that...]
[And then debate on... whether he should go or stay... and just wind up hovering in place like a moron.]
Does this sort of thing happen often here?

I have never experienced anything like this exactly, but being relocated and forced to dress in odd clothing is not uncommon.
[ you should have seen her when she had to wear victorian dresses ]
What makes this different is that we are obviously not in the castle. I have been unable to communicate with anyone at the castle using the journal. And now it shows drawings.

she's looking pretty bored and flipping through the Paradisa comic
also, she's hungry, but ttly not going to actually ask somebody for food, way too beneath her man
....then again, she is wearing a pretty ridiculous outfit as it is... ]
