Paradisa,

Apparently on some iteration of Earth, it is illegal to eat oranges while bathing1What are we considering general laws among the castle residents? Rules of conduct, things taken as understandings among each other? What about the laws in town ( Read more... )

...How did you even come across that law, Sakura-chan?

[Even though there is a more important question she'll never ask: why were you even looking at those kinds of laws? Also, she's not entirely up for touching on anything else about those morality questions.]

I tend to do some light reading when I can't sleep.

[ Morality questions are so fun, Hinata. And so misleading. ]

[She knows the morality game all too well. It happens when your family does questionable things to other family members in the name of preventing eye-gore.]

You consider law books...light reading? Um, I guess it does help you learn some very interesting trivia. Even if...it does make you wonder why a law like that had to be made.

[ It also happens if you're a ninja, period. People talk about their home politics and it tends to make Sakura shut up -- well, stop writing -- for a while. ]

Maybe people complained about citrus pulp in their springs?

[Being a ninja almost always seems to mean doing some morally questionable things for, what boils down to, money. Oh, the circles they could talk in just about Konoha and its morality.]

Maybe...even though it seems odd to think of someone trying to eat and bathe at the same time. I-I guess if you were really pressed on time...

[ We're some questionable mercenaries, Hinata. Not that we like to notice. ]

It could be more of a luxury than a necessity. Or someone being lazy.

[Obviously, it's easier not to think about it. Sometimes. Until someone blows up a village because of it.]

Either are likely, it seems. I think it might depend on what version of Earth it is.

Though I-I do have to wonder if a law like that might ever happen at home. Given a few of the lords...

[ Some pains are harder to bear than others... ]

The lords are always incredibly well informed, and would make only the wisest laws among the lands!

Me might get general fruit outlawing. I hear there's a food allergy in the current lord's family...

Oh, really? I-I hadn't heard that, but... I guess then that we better start finding better ways to enjoy vegetables. Not to mention, I-I wonder how long it would take before we had a mission to...to close down fruit smuggling organizations.

Think we should ever let it be known that tomatoes are fruits, and not vegetables?

Maybe... But I-I hear he's rather easily swayed. So we might have to...to argue it more than once.

We're stubborn people. I think we might be able to outlast him, and bring him around to our point of view!

Or just say it really firmly two or three times.

Until someone else makes a good argument. He...he's rather odd when it comes to his decisions. Or so I hear. Um, maybe we could find and convince his wife, though. I think she could end that discussion.

You're on to something. I think we'll go with your plan, should we ever need it!

With how often he paid for her cat to be found and, um, rescued... I think she would be our best chance for most anything. Should we ever need to.
