[For Parker, the abundance of eggs has only convinced her that Easter is the second best holiday ever. There are opened plastic egg shells scattered around her room and a bit of confetti here and there. She pops a chocolate into her mouth when she opens the door--
Oh.
Hey, Cross.
She sort of looks at him a little surprised before she finishes chewing what's in her mouth and opening the door wide enough for him to come in. After a moment of chewing, she feels she can get a few words out.]
[Cross opens up another plastic egg just as the door opens, releasing some confetti into the air. Colorful, but what a mess this will be in a few hours.
Mm, delicious, awkward silence. Just what he expects, to be honest.]
You are free to kick me for the surprise visit. [Does joking help? Hopefully.]
Why would I kick you? I always barge in on you, don't I? And I mean, I'm actually glad to see you. I was going to visit you anyway and now I don't have to. So it all works out, really. Totally not a reason to kick you or anything. You're doing me a favor.
[SO MANY WORDS. Which tends to happen when she's feeling a bit nervous.]
