[The movies always make it look so easy. Kids just toss their kites up in the air, and they stick, like magic or something. Hunny just always assumed that that was that kite's job. To stick to the air. And all you had to do was guide it, right?

Wrong. He's been trying for almost three straight minutes now - exhausting just thinking about it, I know

A broken kite, Hunny-senpai?

[He watches with sparkles in his eyes as the kite flies for all of three seconds and then... plummets.]

[Hunny puts on a thoughtful face and considers this.]

❀ Yeah, it kept doing that earlier! ❀

[Oh, wait - idea!]

❀ Oh hey, I forgot, the talking bird guy said you're supposed to run with it! ❀

...Okay then~

[He struck a determined pose, fist-pumping the air enthusiastically.]

You drop it again, Hunny-senpai, and I'll run!

❀ Roger that, Tama-chan! ❀

[Determination! He wriggles back down the tree, grabs the kite, and then gets back in position... and launches it again! Run, Tamaki, run!]

[The same sort of determination he gets on his face when doing a STARLIGHT KICK! is the one he's wearing now, taking off at a dead sprint when Hunny drops the kite.

IT'S WORKING!!!]

[HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME.]

❀ Yaaaay!!! We did it!!! ❀

[And he'll just sit here in the tree, watching Tamaki sprint.]

[daddyhost]

[Except now he's afraid to stop, because then the kite will fall, and so he's running and running and...]

❀ Tama-chan, stop running so fast! ❀

[Hunny's trying to get down from the tree now, but he's taking his good sweet time.]

[...And he's over. Panting and sobbing with distress as the kite falls to Earth.

HE FAILED!]

[YOU DID AWESOME.]

❀ Wow, Tama-chan, that was great! It went so far! ❀

[daddyhost]

[Immediately feeling better, he leapt up and pressed a hand to his chest.]

Of course, I knew I would be able to master it.

[Should have known he'd say something like that. Hunny grins at him, though, as he trots over to pick up the kite.]

❀ I wonder if Haruhi's ever had one of these? We should teach her sometime now that we know how! ❀

We have to be sensitive, Hunny-senpai... What if Haruhi were too poor to afford a kite and always wanted one?
