[Ten's gone walking through the castle today, curious to explore the building that's causing them all so much fuss. He doesn't make it very far, though, before he spots a single acorn sitting right in the middle of the lobby.

Well then... maybe a bit of a test. [reaching into his pocket, he'll pull out his journal (which probably doesn't help the feeling of this being a dream. It doesn't look like that should have fit at all), and flip to an open pages. Scrawling a short message on the page, he'll hold it out to her so she can see "Hello, Nina. I'm the Doctor." written there]

[pulling the book away, he moves it so it's too far away to read, but never lets it leave her sight. He also is careful not to turn the pages] Now...words are tricky things in dreams. They never quite want to stay the same. So, if I put this back in front of you and they're something different? Well...then I guess you're dreaming. Which would be a bit disturbing, all things considered. I don't exactly care for being a dream-version of me instead of the me-me. But!
If I put this back in front of you and it's all exactly the same...then you know it's all real, yeah?
