[A voice possessing little in the way of accent, inflection, or identifiable gender emanates from the journal's pages. A few may find it familiar, however.]Am I correct in assuming that this book is a way to communicate over long distances? Something very dire seems to have come up, and I would like to return to the place from whence I came ( Read more... )

[ Oh...oh what. Oh what. Alexstrasza almost can't believe the voice she hears with such clarity--it's practically a fluke that within her mountainside dwelling that her journal tumbles from a rocky overhang and lands open an enables to hear what she might otherwise have missed.

Korialstrasz....

His name is a whisper of disbelief on humanoid lips, her heart swelling both with great joy and sorrow--and longing. There was always a sense of loss when he wasn't around, but such was a necessity back home. Here she had almost given up hope of ever being able to rightly see him again. Her consort, her beloved... ]

Impossible...

[Normally he can reach out and feel the presence of his kin nearby, but being so close to a black hole of sorts made him miss the presence of the Dragonqueen. It makes him edgy, too, which is why he nearly flips when he hears Alexstrasza on the other line.]

My-my queen?

[Crap, he didn't mean to say that out loud. Gratuitous telepathy time?]

[ Gratuitous telepathy time. Her heart is bursting with so much love, so much relief and joy at hearing his voice that it carries over into words formed not my mouth, but by mind ]

My love... Is it truly your voice I heard? I pray it is not simply the longing of my heart which deceives me so...

[Oh, how his heart aches. How long has she been in this place? How long? He has no idea... he'd only seen her a little while previously... and yet all of that is tossed out the window when he can detect the pain in her tone.]

There are many things in this world that deceive, but I will always appear to you in truth. My love... [He swallows hard, not noticing his fist clenching in the fabric of his robes.] Are you unwell? A moment-I will come to you. [If his powers were still true, anyway.]

[He knows that voice. Titans be damned, does he know that voice. And while its a better voice to hear than others, Malygos can't help but feel a little annoyed at it. After all, the last he saw this particular creature, he was pestering him with memories he would have rather forgotten.

The Aspect of Magic doesn't answer right away. Unlike his kin, he often kept the journal open in his lair these days. Too many things happened here that he felt he needed to be aware of.

This was one of them.]

How nice of you to join usss.

[There's a definite moment of silence. No one so far mentioned that the dead could come back to life. He's assaulted by warring emotions on top of the initial shock of being displaced in such a manner.]

Even the Master of Magic seems to have been caught in this dimensional net! Where is the Lord of Time, I wonder? Certainly a matter such as this would have come to his attention long ago.

[He doesn't even mention how the world might be faring. Malygos is... well... Let's just say Korialstrasz can already guess.]

Perhaps if this place was in any way connected to Azeroth, but alas young Korialstrasz, it is not and the Lord of Time is, in fact, absent among us.

[You can just hear the delight in his voice -- oh wait, that's sarcasm.]

Just you...me...and of course, the Life-Binder, mustn't forget her. Nor I suppose should I forget the scattered mortals you may or may not be familiar with.

[WHY MUST YOU USE THAT NAAAAAAAAAAAAME... ): MY CHOSEN NICKNAME IS MUCH BETTER.]

We appeared here, did we not? The two worlds must be connected in at least that way. More importantly, the lengthened absence of not one, but two of the great Aspects would shake the foundations beyond repair. We have lost much in the recent years, Spellweaver! To lose much more would risk everything we have worked so hard to preserve!
