[for once, Ray is wandering through the lobby minus his ever-present PKE meter. probably because it would be hard to carry a beer and a sandwich if he also had a meter. and he's en route to the kitchen for both of those things. he stops when he sees the new face, and smiles]

[She doesn't feel he'd pose any threat, yet, and she doesn't know him, yet, so -- voice airy, still glancing around a bit, she'll just murmur at him]

[She then realizes she should probably at least nod a hello.]

[he blinks a few times. considering what she said is absolutely true, he recognizes that uncanny insight a bit for what it is, and tilts his head]

Yeah. ... Yeah, that's me. [he holds out a hand] I'm Ray. Who're you?
