[It was only after the tree had been burned to ash and that the sun had risen did Alleyne finally make it back inside. She double checked to make sure everyone, especially the kids, were alright before heading into a shower and her bed. No post partying for her, at least not yet. Before she slept, she managed to finally let herself break down and cry, making sure to wash her face before getting back up to remove any tear stains. It felt good to finally let herself go like that, releasing all the stress.
Now she's back in full gear in the lobby, just observing and eating some stew and coffee. She pulls out her journal and begins to write.]
To anyone who helped this past week in any way...Thank you. It would not have worked without everyone's full cooperation. This could have ended badly; very badly. The fact we avoided everything but minor injury is phenomenally lucky, even with our full efforts being expended. There's definitely something to be said for the triumph of will once more. I don't like to rely on it much, but when I have, it has always proven right.
Let's prepare ourselves now so that there won't be a next time. All of us.

I apologize for keeping any of you in the dark. I, at the time, felt it was in your best interest to be shielded from such facts in order to strengthen our protection of you. I may have been wrong. All of you proved in your own ways you're more than capable of handling a situation like this as an adult would.
Which brings me to my next point: Since you proved your maturity, I am going to offer you all my services. Back at my home, I taught combat. I have for as long as I can remember. I would welcome anyone, but would often find working with women and children to be best. My last favored student was a young lady. I was not easy on her, and I won't be with any of you.
If you want to be seen as an adult and help us prepare for any future problems, it may be in your best interest to learn how to fight. It's not pretty, but it may save your life or someone else. If you already know, hone your skills. If you don't want me as your teacher, I won't take it as a personal insult. Ask any of your guardians first if it's alright to train with me in case they want to meet me or test me first.
Justinia - If the offer still stands to take me on a tour of the town, I'll take it once you're better.
Nanako - If this frightened you too much to not want to learn fighting, I understand, but the offer stands still that I'll teach you.
Jade, John, Dave - We should have a movie night together.
Vriska - You didn't run your mouth too much, did you?
Kanaya - I haven't heard from you in a while. Are you alright? Jade says you've been doing fine but I just wanted to check in after all this, especially given how startled you were when we met.
You all rest well now and get some good food in you. I'm...I'm really glad you're back.
