[Well, it isn't a Keyblade, but it works.]

[Riku is just coming in the front doors, new blade in hand. He's out of breath and a little sweaty-- someone's been training. Coming in, he takes out his journal and flips it open.]

It feels strange to train so hard in the cold.

Well there's an indoor gym, but the space is pretty limited depending on what you're doing...

I'd rather train in private. Personal preference.

Then I guess you can just look at it as a test of endurance.

Might just have to start doing that.

I hope you're not overdressed, then. The sweat'll freeze ya.

I'd have stayed out longer, but I was starting to realize that was happening.

Were you wearing cotton?

Not entirely. I plan on changing as soon as I get to my room.

I hope you bundled up accordingly for the weather, Riku.

I did, don't worry. I might have worn a little too much, though.

[ she giggles ] Good!

Considering what may come of staying in the cold for too long, I do not believe there is such a thing as too many layers.

I was working out, though... The sweat got some layers a little wet, and the cold doesn't mix well with that, apparently.

[Damn these foreign weather patterns.]

You didn't overdo it, did you? It might be a little too much, depending on when you last trained to that extent.

It's no big deal. I can handle more than this... Especially when it warms up. I need to keep sharp, anyway, and pushing my limits isn't necessarily a bad thing in that respect.

Mm, as long as you know where your limits are. We wouldn't want you collapsing.

How is the new weapon doing?

Don't worry, I'm plenty durable enough for training.

It's... not the same, but it's close.

[just happens to be passing by, a sheathed sword strapped to the back of her chair]

It's best to acclimate yourself to every environment you can, but try not to overtax yourself. This kind of weather isn't good for the limbs.

[He glances over, eying her for a moment before nodding.]

I'm noticing that. It'll be trial and error to find out what works best for me in the cold.
