[Backdated to before Noon]

[Angel's managed to keep a low profile during the majority of the castle's annual kissing celebration. When he hasn't been hiding in his and Cordelia's room, he's been sticking to the emptier corners of the library or the lobby, and making some pretty stealthy exits at the first sign of any birds. Up until now it's been ( Read more... )

[someone was out and about herself]

Lorne said he thinks there from Hitchcock. Like 'The Birds'...

[Oh what a coincidence this is. 8D]

Have they attacked anyone? I haven't heard about any bird-related deaths...

[Pffffttt, she's done this before Angel. With you]

Well....[she thinks back over the past week]...maybe attack isn't exactly the right word.

[He has not lived through this yet. Or un-lived. You get the idea]

Good. I've heard that there's no way to get rid of them so that would just be ... bad.

[brb let me grab a blonde wig so this will work for you, jk]

Castle's got a way with that.

[she's leaning against a wall at a safe distance]

[rofl pls don't. They might be his type but Angel and blondes never work out well]

That's funny, they don't appear to be stalking anyone else.

I'm gonna guess -- avoiding the scene?

Could've had fun.

Trying to, anyway.

[He won't argue that the few times he'd been kissed over the past few days wasn't nice. Well, aside from the part where that one woman threw him across the room and hissed at him--but then it wasn't exactly a first for him either]

Which is probably why they started following me.

Yep, I'd say they're following us around.

I'm running into them way too often for it to be a coincidence. [ she just overheard him when she was walking by, so she stops for a moment to glance over. .. then around for those birds >( ]

Great.

[...wait, that probably sounded kind of insulting]

Not that anyone shouldn't want to kiss you or anything. I just think people should get to know each other first.

[ she laughs ]

Honestly? I agree. I thought about hiding in my room until Christmas was over, but that would get boring fast.

I tried it. It did.

[Because standing around and conversing is conducive to avoiding kissy-time, right?]

[Spike sees Angel, sees the birds, and immediately starts walking in the opposite direction. He doesn't generally run away from potential clashes with Angel, but he'd really rather not have a nonviolent sort of clash. It would just... be awkward.]

[Who are you kidding, Spike? You know you want this]

breakmychest December 21 2010, 04:36:41 UTC
[He does not, and if there's anyone doing any wanting, it's you, oh, ponce with the stupid hair. Unfortunately, Spike chose a bad hallway, as there's a dead end right here. With a dove standing in the middle of it. And staring Spike down. Seriously, there is something wrong with that bird.]

[Unfortunately, Angel has no idea that Spike is facing off with yet another dove around the corner up ahead.

Fortunately (for one of them, anyway) when he turns down the hall and finds himself sandwiched in between magical birds at either side with Spike, of all people, he's too busy telling himself to back away slowly to think of wishing for a wooden stake]

Spike, if you piss that thing off, so help me...

[if she knew what was waiting around that corner, she would never have gone around. But one can only hide in their room for so long so, braving the halls in an attempt to reach the kitchen, turn the corner she does...

And sees Angel with his entourage. This isn't good] ....oh no.

[He's sort of used to it at this point, which is why he's sure to squeeze in an introduction before they're forced to make with the lip-lock]

Hi, I'm Angel. You are?

[And as if on cue, the birds overhead start chirping away]

tehoniongirl December 23 2010, 03:50:36 UTC
[it's a good thing her mind is quick enough to catch what he's attempting, or she'd never have gathered her wits quick enough to answer before the birds chimed in]

Jilly. I'm-

[aaaand... they're out of time. At only five feet tall, she has to reach up, one hand sliding around his neck, pulling him down towards her]

[Well, at least they were able to exchange names in time.

Angel's a pretty accommodating guy though. He'll go ahead just and lift her up after so long to make the act of kissing her that much easier.

Of course, as soon as the birds fly off this will be that much more awkward since ... kissing plus suggestive embrace does not tend to equal a casual encounter between strangers]
