[Xena’s sitting in her room and looking through the journal, keeping track of what was going on in the castle. At least that’s what she’s trying to do; her patience is wearing thin.

Normally, crickets didn’t bother her. She’d spent enough time living on the road and sleeping outside that it was easy to dismiss the noise into the background. But the ( Read more... )

[Tas is bored. It's been five days so far and all the novelty of having four legs instead of two and the new bit about senses has worn off. Now he just wants to go back to being himself so he can explore properly. Or pick locks again. Or even just get out of her room because, as fascinating as people's rooms are, he can't really look at anything the way he'd like.

But he can't do any of those things, so he's chirping, telling her why he really wouldn't mind if maybe she wanted to go out and do something, because maybe he could go along or maybe he could find his own way... unless she knew a wizard who could turn him back because this was starting to get to be an awfully long time and he really thought he'd be happy to be back in his own body, thanks...]

[he's become pretty good about gauging what vibrations have to say about how close something is. So he keeps up a steady "conversation" until those boots get awfully close. A little too close. Hmm... after Cordelia's reaction, maybe it would be safer to continue this from another spot.

Don't mind him as he goes temporarily silent.]

[Oh, she won't mind at all. The quiet's nice. Maybe the cricket found a way out? She pauses, listening.]
