[John is riding around town on the back of a horse. Why? Well, he wasn't going to walk all the way from the castle when there are perfectly good horses in the stable. He clip-clops slowly around, pausing now and again to peer into shop windows or down alleyways. After a moment, he stops, sitting back in his saddle and opening his journal]
