Abel and Lilith Arrive

Speeches and Cake

[Tapping his glass a little self-consciously, he stood and looked around the assembled guests.]

I'm afraid I've never made a speech like this, but I'm assured it's what a best man should do...

Here in this world, we are always aware of the transient nature of our stay, we become accustomed to losing and gaining friends we may never see again for various reasons. It can be easy to step back from the more precious relationships we could have out of fear...

Yet I believe this world is made for chances such as these, where friendships and relationships should be grasped with both hands and enjoyed for every moment they last.

This day represents the best of everything this world has to offer, and I can think of no two people who deserve to enjoy that blessing more.

When two people are as in love, of such good hearts... then a union like this is destiny, and I know in my soul they are meant for one another.

To Abel and Lilith, may you have a long and happy life together.
