Out in the Dead Zone (but not filtered!)
[They've been out searching for the buffaloes that were rumoured to be out here to hunt, and it didn't really take them too long to find them, once they'd corrected their direction. Actually killing one proved a bit more difficult, being that one had to lure one of a decent size away from the others. Large enough to be a worthy challenge, but small enough that should it become enraged it wouldn't cause any serious harm.[]
[Now that it's been successfully killed and opened up, Arthur will set about removing the organs. He sounds surprised and a little confused as he grips onto his discovery firmly]
That...Should not be there. It feels nothing like an organ of any sort...
[Allen who was trying to pay attention but slightly zoning out snaps back into attention when he hears Arthur speak]
Eh? What is it?
[He rolls his eyes sharply and starts to pull on it carefully as it feels partially fragile]
If I knew that, I would not have bothered mentioning it.
[When Allen chooses to remain silent, he continues. And when he's pulled it out of the carcass far enough, and has looked down enough to catch a glimpse of it, he drops it immediately. It looks like a pair of human fingers. He's sure he didn't strike the stomach on accident, but...if it has no eyes, who says things are where they're supposed to be? Still...]
...Have you known them to be carnivores?
[Allen stands up suddenly and looks down at the fingers that got dropped, rather horrified]
N-No...I thought they were herbivores...like cattle....
But none of you have been out here long enough to check for certain? [He eyes it for another moment and goes to dig around again. If they're lucky, they might have been wearing a bracelet or some other means of identifying them. If they were a towns person who doesn't come back, they deserve that much. He can feel a hand and wrist so he starts to pull it out only to realize...It doesn't actually stop]
Not out here, but there's one back at the stables...it's only fed grass...
[And he's watching now, it's a bit like a trainwreck and he can feel himself getting very sick from what he's seeing]
[The more Arthur pulls, the more is revealed until the top half of a person flops out onto the ground before them]
