[as soon as the Eclipse has been infiltrated... and the sacrifices have begun to be pulled from the Vortex, the massive hand in the midst of the dimension opens

[glancing over, nonplussed at the death god's reaction] Hi Kid! You're up here too? This is a good place, though I was fighting more of them downstairs... and even more in town. Only I had to find Raistlin and he wasn't there... or, at least, I was hoping he wasn't there.
[his words punctuated by flying stones] So I headed up here instead.
You're human? But I thought you were something else. Didn't you have something to do with death? [it had been kinda hard to understand through the wailing about the closet]
I was friends with a god, once! [a screech as another demon falls, tumbling out of the sky towards the castle grounds] He acted like a daft old wizard, but he was actually very powerful, only none of us really knew that until later.
[the whir of another stone cuts him off, making him pause before continuing] If you're a death god, can't you just... I don't know... wave your hand and make all these guys disappear? That'd be a lot easier than having to knock them down one at a time.
What's the point of being a god if you can't knock your enemies out of the sky? Otherwise, you're not really all that different from other heroes, right? If you can only do what normal fighters can do.
That's all well and good. I mean, I'd like to see it sometime, because I don't think I've ever really seen a death god do something death-goddy before... unless you did something while we were fighting the spiders and I just didn't realize... but that doesn't exactly help right now.
[he's standing inside a wide circle of salt and chalk, at the edge of the roof, the Staff of Magius in hand, simply ... watching the demons that circle overhead, as though he's waiting for something, that familiar hungry look in his eyes]
[there's a very relieved (and very unfamiliar shout) from another part of the roof] Raist!
Raist, I've been looking everywhere for you! [a younger looking man with a staff of some sort is leaping over that circle, racing over to reach him] I looked in town first, 'cause I thought that maybe you'd be in the middle of everything, only you weren't there... or maybe you were, but I couldn't see you... only then we were overrun with monsters and I had to fight my way back here and thank the gods you're alright!
[pausing inside the circle to put his hands on his knees, gasping for breath. He ran and fought the whole way here, man!] I was really hoping you'd be here, 'cause if you'd been in town and I'd missed you then that would mean that you'd been killed... but you weren't killed. You're here and you're...
[trailing off as he looks around] What're you doing? Are you casting a spell? Will this get rid of them?
band together and save the innocents!]
