[His day had been going so well before all of this! Suleyman had down his hair wonderfully, though of course he would need to let it grow out some more again, and Barnabas had offered delightful company and conversation. And then, this happened. It was a total accident, meeting Gilgamesh in the halls, but the minute he'd seen the obsidian rock in his hand and that grin and recalling their conversation earlier... yeah, he took off.
Call it cowardly if you wanted, but Ashura knew Gilgamesh was powerful and so was he. A full on fight between them could potentially hurt anyone around them and Ashura would not risk that - so he ran, with the occasional blast of fire behind him to deter the older king.
Growled, he ducked down a hall and hurried, taking steps downward in leaps of five at a time.]
If this is the way you insist on acting I was right to call you a dog!

[Uh, well, that was interesting, wasn't it? In a burst of flame his sword came out and he pulled a metal fan from his belts as he sized up where the blades were. Slowly his steps he took a single breath before calming himself and then beginning a quick, rapid dance down the stairs to avoid the blades and set up a wall of fire behind him to deter Gilgamesh for a moment.]
Sharpen them all you like, they'll be useless if you can't sink your teeth into flesh!
Ah, yes. It is a rather...annoying habit, I must say. All of this running made me forget my manners, pardon.
But what if he does not look the part of the tyrant? What if he is simply an innocuous man, one you would never believe to be a member of a royal house?
An interesting habit. [That says a lot about you, really.]
Running?
Of course. Appearances don't always line up with reality, surely you know that. Besides, in the end, a king is only a man. Take the trimmings off of any royalty and you simply have a human being. Actions define them as they define us all.

By royal edict of the House of Uruk, I command you to step aside!

Then let me sharpen my fangs, my good man! It is what a dog would do, no?

[ Yeah, those flames? Totally put out, almost frozen solid with the swipe of a small dagger. And then Gilgamesh is back on the trail! ]

As for your question, I should say the answer is fairly obvious; actions are what matters. An attractive tyrant is still a tyrant.

Is he even still royalty, then?

And if that man is more than just a man?

I suppose no one really wants a scruffy looking King, but I think his actions are what the people would remember more than his appearance.

How was your world ruled?

Well the King sat on his shiny throne and gave orders to his little minions to go and do his bidding. [ deflects the question with humor~ ]

How did your King rule, Alistair?

But who would want to follow an ugly, clumsy looking king anyway?

I wonder that very same question, myself.
