[waiting in front of the carts, apprehensive.]

[calls over to Clark from his perch in the cart]

They didn't say how many to expect, did they?

[clarklike]

A lot of minor injuries, a few serious ones.

[pause]

One death.

[nurse_boy]

[sucks in a sharp breath through his nose, then nods]

Well, we've, uh--we've got a body bag.

[aware of how crass that may sound, but unfortunately--and Clark may already know this--sometimes you have to distance yourself emotionally. He thinks for a moment]

I think I might ask you to handle some of the more serious ones, if that's okay. And Karen--she can do x-rays, right--I think it would be good to ask her to, ah, scan everyone. Check for breaks and fractures.

You don't think she'd be offended by that, would you?

[nurse_boy]

[Rory is sitting in the back of one of the carts--he'd opted to ride with the medical equipment--and is perched on the back edge, high enough to see out into the woods ahead of them, keeping an eye out for any sign of the approaching groups]

[Ash, Pikachu and Buizel are standing nearby watching the sky line.]

Hope we've got enough stuff here.

[ she approaches him and puts a hand on his shoulder ]

Don't worry, we're not going to be out here long.

[he looks slightly startled at the touch before putting on a grin.]

Right. Cause we'll get them all to the castle fast as we can.

[advocacies]

[ walking alongside one of the carts. she's keeping her eyes peeled for anything though. ]

Hey--Karen--?

[advocacies]

[ she turns her head to look at him ]

[nurse_boy]

Um--I just wanted to ask you a question, if you don't mind.

[cloakand_danger]

[And finally, there are exhausted and wounded Travelers approaching the edge of the water in their canoes. Yuan, still ever one to take the lead, climbs out as they get close and drags the first canoe up onto the land so that it's easier for people to get out without getting too wet.

That done, he squints toward the edge of the forest, and spots what he thinks might be moving shapes. The time for subtlety has passed, so he calls out toward them:]

Please tell me that's our reinforcements.

[gonna come through the forest to meet you guys!]

The best we've got. Need help getting to the treeline?

I don't, but [he nods at the boats] we've got wounded with us, and a lot of people very tired from rowing.

[And as he steps away from the boats to make room, he stumbles a little because afkjsd okay maybe he is more tired than he thought. Still on his feet, though!]

[he moves in closer, and while he gives the green glow a wary glance, he wades right in to drag the second canoe in, so they can all unload together.]
