[on this week's episode of 6 Sort-Of Reveals Things Maybe Important To Plot, the little automaton is down in the kitchen, on top of a table, with a small jar of black ink. he's drawing the same image over and over at least a dozen times on pages of the journal. he tears the pages out when he's "done" and places them to the side so that all of them can be seen.
they're all in a fairly detailed and slightly creepy style, but the overall image is kind of hard to make out. sometimes it's... an octopus? eating a rock? no, no, it's got to be... some kind of tentacle monster. and that thing next to it might be a person? sitting down? standing up? maybe it's not an octopus at all, but a person with very long fingers--it shifts from paper to paper, like he's trying every combination until he finds the one that's just right.
since he doesn't eat or sleep, he's been at it for hours.]
