I always wondered how the journals kept working past the barrier, too.

I have heard about that happening... Usually it's after they were knocked out or something crazy, though. I haven't been back home yet, either.

At least my dog's here. It kind of makes it easier. I haven't been here as long as you, though.

It could be worse.

I want an outpost, out in the Dead Zone. So we can observe castle changes, and maybe as a jumping-off point for more expeditions.

I don't know how helpful I'd really be with construction that far out, but if you ever need help with blueprints... [ or blowing stuff up... ]
