Thanks! I'm really glad the imagery, details, and characterisation worked so well for you :). When I'm writing stuff, I have this image in my head, of how things are happening. If I can convey that to any successful extent, it really makes writing the fic worthwhile.

This is really good. You have a wonderful way with words. The title, for example, is the perfect choice.

I think this is the only use of the UK promo in fic that I've seen that works. I think Locke and Kate are very much in character, and the notion of a Locke-Kate showdown rather than the Locke-Jack one we've been lead to expect is really interesting.

The "who'll save you?" at the end is delightfully creepy and a wonderful ending.

I'm quite glad that Kate and Locke's characterisations worked for you. I've done a bit of Locke before, but not Kate - besides which, this was Kate under a lot of sudden, sort of unexpected stress. I'd keep reading her dialogue during the confrontation and ask myself, is this what she would say?

I'm also very happy that you liked the ending :). I thought of going with a slightly happier one - having the girl be more sympathetic to him. Then I thought, since Walt's the one (indirectly, I guess) responsible for Locke's death, I couldn't let him off the hook so easily. That, and I like being mean to characters I like. :P

Wow, I truly enjoyed this. This is the first fic depicting the UK promo that I've seen, and you make it work completely. The Others are deliciously creepy as well, and poor little Walt, though I like that he's thinking about his dad and Jin and Sawyer even though he's tied up on a boat headed for who knows where.

So, definitely a lovely fic. I even kinda like Kate in this, and that's hard for me since I don't really like her, er, much at all. Good job!
