it's oh-dark-thirty, and i think i'm awake for the duration. i went to bed around 8pm and have been sleeping like crap ever since -- right up until about ten minutes ago, when something in the roof of my mouth burst that had been sitting on my tonsil and causing a lot of pain and i had to dash to the bathroom to try and get it all out.

thanks. >.< it's looking like it might be a peritonsillar abcess. although i havn't gotten to go to the doctors yet. definitely not going into work.

WebMD article on Peritonsillar Abcess ...it's spot on for how this discomfort developed.

If it tasted/smelled really foul, it could also be a tonsil stone, I think? Less likely, though.

it only tasted coppery (blood) which was freaky enough on its own at 12somethingorother AM. but a tonsil stone has not been ruled out. i'm currently just kinda waiting until i can call and talk to a live human at the doctor's office. been dozing on and off. just called out of work, so that's out of the way...

i only heard of them tihs morning when i did some research to see what it could possibly be. very weird.

thanks for hugs! still in a lot of pain, but doing okay.
