ARGH. I got exactly half that many. Can I pretend it's because it's early?

I got slowed down a bit because I tried England and Wales (trying to take them at their word for COUNTRIES rather than commonwealths, United Kingdom my a$$) and because I misspelled Kazakhstan three different ways... but even if I hadn't wasted time on those I probably wouldn't have made 60.

I tried England as well, but I wasn't surprised that it didn't accept it. I also tried several different ways of spelling French Guyana before giving up, and had an annoyingly hard time spelling "Qatar". I'd learned my lesson by the time I got to the Asian former Soviet republics, though, and did not even try "Kyrgystan", even though I can indicate its general whereabouts on a map. Yay, Geography 101 came in handy for something other than inexplicably earning me a physical sciences credit at University!

And I'm irritated, looking over the list afterward, that I didn't bother with Ireland.

I did at least get Ireland.

England
Okay, maybe they want Great Britian instead
Let's try Wales
Argh, fine, United Kingdom.

I got through most of the easy-to-spell parts of Europe, Asia, and the Americas and then let myself get bogged down in the Balkans, as so many have done there, rather than jumping to Africa.

I've totally given up on knowing what Balkan states are actually countries at any given time. The ones I got were either because I'd done a school report, or I knew someone from them.

I got sixty, and definitely somehow wound up with more time than thinky. Whoops . . .

I kind of wish I could see the ORDER you got these, though. Kind of curious to see if you, like me, started out with "United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Peru . . ."

(Except I don't see Panama, so I guess not.)

Hehehe-- no, I did them in geographical clusters, starting with Western Europe (because the names are short), and allowing myself to jump whenever one just popped into my head. I almost skipped the United States because it's annoyingly long to type, and then when I did do that one, I went ahead and did the United Arab Emirates, too, because if I was going to waste time, I might as well really waste it.

I think the general order was Western Europe, Western Africa (because Benin and Togo are also mercifully short), North America, Middle East, bouncing back and forth between South America and Far-East Asia for a bit, Indian subcontinent, former Soviet republics, Oceania, then weird ones like Vatican City and Papua New Guinea.

And I did South Africa with the weird ones, not because it's weird, but because it completely surrounds two other countries whose names I can't remember. And then I did eastern Africa, because I like and can spell Djibouti.

I pulled down 62. I did geographical clusters to a degree, but this was one of those situations where my ADHD brain organized things in really scatterbrained-ways, and I occasionally wandered off on wild tangents, or spent too long struggling to figure out how to spell something (e.g. "Philippines" -- no "the," 1 L, 2 Ps), or try to remember what the modern or official name for a nation was (e.g. Czhechoslavakia vs. Czhech Republic). Some of the ones I'm proud of: Papua New Guinea, Tobago, Dominican Republic, Belize, United Arab Emirates, Macedonia, Niger, Ghana, Cyprus, and Chad. I SHOULD have gotten about three quarters of the former Soviet states, but I couldn't spell half the -stans, and the others just didn't pop into my head when I needed them, except for Georgia.

For some reason, it didn't recognize "Tuvalu," when I typed it, even though it's on the list, and I thought I spelled it right.
