I just realized that I only write fic (drabbles notwithstanding) for two reasons

Fic is like extra content, for a lot of people. Discussion requires thinking. Therefore, fic > discussion.

I do wish vids and MADs got more credit; that shit is hard to do. And art gets a lot of credit, but it's ~weird~ credit, like...you can become a BNF based on really pretty artwork, but it feels like there's this weird distinction made between artists and fic writers where they don't get the same, like...flavor of recognition. Or something. I dunno how to put it into words. Do you know what I mean?

It's mostly point A for me. Point B is often more like... "Nobody wrote it, but somebody tried and oh god it was so terrible even I can do a better job I must unleash my viewpoint onto the worrrrrld"
