I wanted to play Aion desperately, but had to downgrade my computer so can't run it afaik.

I want to know about the flight. Does it still exist, is it awesome, etc.

It does still exist!

It is very awesome!

I haven't flied much yet actually, I've been trying out classes, but when I'm done beta I'll be typing up a full impression.

You sure you can't run it? It's pretty well optimized. If your comp could handle WoW it should be able to handle Aion...

Hoo, I'm still downloading Aion. Seriously, the download's been going for days now. D: But I'm set on trying the beta now! I might have to go Elyos just to hang out with you.

Hmm, on the casual issue... I feel as if I'm in the borderline between 'casual' and 'hardcore.' My taste is mainstream, I play games for plot/fun but also slightly bragging rights, and I'm hopelessly behind the times because I only play what I can afford/what is established as worth my time. Hmmm, I guess I might be casual, except for the sheer amount of time I spend on gaming. Which is to a slightly ridiculous level, considering.

Elitism enters pretty much every subculture eventually. It was only a matter of time...
I prefer "casual" type games myself...but I liked them before they were cool. -_-;;
(Well, you know about my interests. I guess you could call me a hardcore casual gamer? That...yeah, why not.)

As for MMOs, I make a point of not spending money on them...and I also make a point of not starting one unless I can continue it, so...
Have fun, though~

AND YOU CALL ME THE HIPSTER?

Because I know that subtlety is something that you will always lack, I will directly explain to you that in this situation the "-_-;;" face at the end illustrates that I knew what a ridiculous statement I was making (although I stand by it).

BY THE WAY, NICE SINGLE-ENTRY LJ. I CLICKED AND WAS SO STUNNED BY THE BRILLIANCE OF WHAT YOU WROTE THAT I COULDN'T EVEN MOVE FOR TEN MINUTES. SOME OF MY EXTREMITIES ARE STILL NUMB.

In short, STFU HIPSTER.

I'm suddenly reminded of a certain VGcats strip regarding casual gamers... and why I stopped reading the comic.
