... If it helps, I think you consistently talk sense in that post. Some people are trying to manipulate this situation into something more than it is, or are otherwise willfully seeing things that aren't there - this casting might have Unfortunate Implications, but it's clearly not a deliberate racist agenda, and treating it otherwise only serves to undermine the very real and valid issues these same people are raising elsewhere in the debate.
That these guys can't seem to understand that you're very much on their side here, albeit making a conscious effort to keep some kind of perspective on everyone's actions, well...
However right you may be in this instance, I can still laugh over you complaining about somebody getting unreasonably angry and confrontational about how much they disagree with you, right?

I say first step is to get rid of that crappy icon about that anime nobody cares about.
I think some remedial philosophy is also in order. Putting down ones preferences and interests does not, in any way, negage the accuracy or inaccuracy of ones statements.
