Whoah....poor Chase. Trying so hard to be tough and brittle and getting in the good lines, but never really enjoying them. This one will bear of lot of re-reading to pick up all the nuances. Extra points for working in the flame cane.

“Apparently my daddy issues exonerate me,”

The boy's been reading a lot of fanfic, hasn't he?

Thank you :)

I wasn't sure about this when I wrote it, but it is growing on me a bit now. I love the flame-cane. It's very awesome. And I was thinking: assuming everything works out (I know a tiny bit about the season finale, but only a tiny bit. Anyway), how great will it be if Cameron does fuck up and kill someone? She'll just be... *grins evilly*

I can actually see Chase as the kind of person who would read fanfic about himself if it were actually possible...

Chase is definitely the most self-conscious, if not self-aware. One of my favorite lines of late season 3 is "Who exactly are the Jews in this metaphor?" which struck me as being wonderfully meta.

I love your exhausted, fed up, 'to hell with bloody tact' version of Chase in this, he's surprisingly fun to read.

and this.....

“If you want,” he continues recklessly, “I can start reminding you on Wednesdays that although we don’t really like each other and have nothing in common, I am incredibly good-looking and surprisingly easy.”

...is made of win.

That kind of Chase is always more fun to write than emo!Chase. And there's enough emo!Chase out there already. *sighs*

Thank you :) I like the idea that Chase spends Tuesdays stalking Cameron and Thursdays stalking Wilson. Except that Wilson would probably give in and then there would be ALL KINDS of awkward...

Aww, poor Chase - even if I'm really laughing over here about his & Wilson's Thursdays. IMp they're both incredibly good looking & easy ;D

BTW, reced this at a new House chat site, do please join us if you're so inclined.

House's House of Whining - lots of the usual suspects there.

They are good-looking and easy. Which means that Wilson will probably give in on the second Thursday, and then the whole object of stalking Cameron will be ruined. Yay!

Thank you very much honey. I may come over and join, depending on how much internet access I get. But thank you for the rec + I'm glad you enjoyed!

Beautiful! Your Chase voice is always perfect! Great Chase/Wilson interaction! I loved that Chase is the reason Wilson talks to Foreman again! Also, really liked the Thursdays bit!

I should say that your feeling on a certain "relationship" as it is in family and this fic will change *kicks $@#% in the shin for being mean*

I just discovered un_love_you, and that's how I got here.

“If you want,” he continues recklessly, “I can start reminding you on Wednesdays that although we don’t really like each other and have nothing in common, I am incredibly good-looking and surprisingly easy.”

This line is utter brilliance and I couldn't pass through without telling you that. I love the tone and feel of the piece as a whole, but that part in particular was exceptional.

un_love_you is such a fabulous challenge!

Thanks for reading honey! I'm glad you enjoyed :D (plus it makes the whole Chase/Cameron stuff far more bearable if I assume Chase is doing the same thing to Wilson).
