So very late to the Torchwood party, but I must comment:

This is really beautiful. I love Owen's small offers to Ianto, showing he's not as insensitive as he wants people to think. The contrast between the indistinct world Katie and Lisa are in and the very solid, grim world the boys live in is very striking.

I also like the way you were able to work Mary into the story as well.
