Today in Mark's office: A cracked mirror with the distorted message STAY.

Also Mark, who has obtained a crowbar from his closet. He leans on it as he speaks.

"All right, everyone. I know that some of us have been having trouble getting over to the mirror side and staying there. Their mirrors have been crossing and forcing them to switch back. Now. I ( Read more... )

Evelyn would rather find Mark in person to help with this endeavour.

So she walks to his room, wielding a classic 1920's Louisville Slugger, and knocks on his door.

Because baseball bats can do the trick just as well as crowbars.

...You could say that part of this might be stress-relief.

"Miss Carnahan. I was just heading out." He smiles at her and nods at the bat. "Coming along?"

"I'd love to. It's been a long morning."

She smiles, nodding.

"I was thinking we'd be systematic. Start on the ground floor and work up to the roof."

[Best solution ever. Simple, yet effective. Minato sent his own video message, glad to hear that there were people on his own side that were for the revolution too.]

Good idea. I'll help.

[Plus there were tons of mirrors in the Mansion, so the more people who helped to break them, the better. And since it's been a very long time:]

Have you been well, Meltzer-san?

Good. I was hoping to start at the ground floor and work my way up, if you wouldn't mind doing the reverse.

And I've been fine. I think I spoke to your mirror.

[OOC: Sorry if you get spammed - LJ's being acting up.]

It's not a problem. I'll see if I can get some friends to help.

[Minato nodded a bit at that.]

I hope that went all right. I've spoken briefly with yours too.

*What's that? You need fiery backup?

SHE'S ON HER WAY. Burning shit as she goes. Important shit? Probably. Whatever, she has an infinite supply of butane for this thing. Or Scrumpy. Whatever it runs on. THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT.

What is important is she's there to melt that mirror into oblivion for you Mark.

Too bad you have your door locked. But that's okay, BLU's motto: BE PREPARED**. She's tearing down that door with her axe.

YOUR HERO IS HERE MARK.*

**BLU's Motto is in fact not BE PREPARED.

What Mark sees is something like this, from the perspective of Jack Nicholson's wife. There is a rebellion going on. It's possible that some disgruntled, lethally violent mirrors are on the loose. So, naturally, he flattens himself against the wall beside the door and prepares to brain the murderous intruder with his crowbar.

*Welp, that's one pesky door down. And this giant BLU blob of rubbery heroism bursts into your living space. Cackling like a maniac.*

And crowba--ohshit he knows this person.

"Was that really necessary?"

Sup Mark. It's this kid. He's calling from the first floor currently, because damn if there wasn't one hell of a crash down here that needed to be investigated. (It turned out to be a train. Goddamnit, Dagny, why do you never look where you're going?)

"That sounds like it should work."

He's... a bit unsure about this, because he half suspects that the mirror people have it in for those on the real side. But it's Mark who's asking, and Mark usually knows what he's talking about.

He responds smiling because any day when Alex isn't hiding in his room is a good day.

"You're in, Alex?"

Now would be the time for complete honesty about his misgivings!

"Yeah, I think so."

...Or not.

"I'll come meet you."

This is an excellent excuse to make sure nothing bad happens to Alex in the chaos.
