The stock market was rocked Wednesday morning by the announcement that the global conglomerate Atreus Inc. has been taken over by Clytemnestra, newly ex-wife of the former CEO, Agamemnon. "He should have read the pre-nup more carefully," Clytemnestra said at the press conference. "The cheating bastard could have kept it in his pants, or kept controlling interest in the company. Not both."
Neither Agamemnon nor his reputed mistress, who is rumored to be in the employ of high-profile brothel runner Circe, were available for comment.
Atreus Inc. made headlines just last month with the surprise hostile takeover of rival company Troy Enterprises. Agamemnon's no-holds-barred approach to business resulted in the termination of nearly 80% of Troy's employees, but Clytemnestra has stated that she has no intention of "repeating [her] ex-husband's mistakes."
There are, after all, plenty of new ones to be made.
