What comic is this from? This and the last few you posted are fantastic. They make me want to read superhero stuff again. The art and story are wonderful. I only wonder if these stories will work on my friends who know nothing of the X-Men - in order to work (which they do!) they require intimate knowledge of the characters' powers.

These are back up stories that Jeff Parker and Colleen Coover have been doing for the X-MEN: FIRST CLASS comic.

Almost *all* of Jeff's stuff is this approachable. Check out his AGENTS OF ATLAS series in back-issue, or the X-Men: First Class series itself.

If your friends have seen the three X-Men movies, they've seen all of the characters using their powers. Just let them know that, in the comics, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, The Beast and The Angel were the first students Xavier had. They should be fine with that.
