Hey, just skimming this and didn't watch the vid yet, but which Kennedy are you referring to? JFK was 63 and RFK was 68 I believe, you must have posted quickly.

Also, I'm going to be a psycho-bitch and tell you that it's spelled definitely :0 *slaps self*

I'm surprisingly curious about Match Game results, it's so darned fun, I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

I never object to someone constructively pointing out my mistakes - so thanks :P

I was thinking of JFK's death. About 10 years before Watergate would be 1963, which would be just after his assassination. In either case Vietnam was on and the references to dropping a spoiled "Freedom" on a foreign country apply. They certainly apply now - in more ways than I care to think about (and I look at how American Neo-Conservatism has infltrated the Canadian Reform Party and it just gets more and more like that cartoon was made today).

This week has been all kinds of Star Spangled and Maple-flavoured World Cup busy. Match Game involves counting. Results are coming soon.

yeah, I am on dial up at the moment and haven't let the youtube sit and percolate so I can watch it, will do it when I step away, so my comment was premature.

I haven't kept up on Canada or politics much (except what's in my face) because I get angry and when I get angry, my body responds and makes trouble for me.

Oh yeah, everyone's busy after the holiday, I was just letting you know that I'm really loving it, I'm not just saying "oh hey, it's great", I'm seriously digging it. For that sort of reason, I'm glad I'm not on broadband right now, I'd be posting all kinds of shit all the time and never doing what I need to, so, partially it's on purpose.

Yeah... All of it seems so contemporary in a very very weird way.

The bit about the rich stealing from the poor and being complimented for it struck me the most. Seems so much like Enron.

Or Paris Hilton.

Or a lot of other things...

The part about people occasionally pointing out that things were getting bad and the folks listening telling them they're crazy and then when the same people continue trying to explain it the people shut them up (turn off their mike) REALLY made me think of Fox News and CNBC.

All the stuff against immigrants too... holy shit it's almost prophetic...
